1. Why should I become a expert?

Participate in a powerful network and build up reputation online to make yourself visible and attractive for new clients. To advertise your services by your own is very time consuming and cost- intensive. More and more, clients are looking for networks where they can browse several profiles at once so they can find exactly what they are looking for. Therefore having an online presence with online reputation, does make it easier for you to get new clients.

2. How does it work?

Create your expert profile including all the details of your offering. Choose your category of expertise, add tags, and set your rate and currency to enable paid voice and video sessions with the built-in communications service. Please note it is essential to answer clients’ messages and appointment requests as soon as possible, and no later than 24 hours.

3. How much does it cost?

We have no setup or subscriptions fees and you can cancel anytime. We operate an attractive revenue share model where we take only 10% commission to cover credit card, server and platform operating costs. For example, let’s assume your rate per minute is $3 USD and you held a session of 30 minutes, the total revenues generated would be $90 USD, you would earn $81 USD and we would take $9 USD.

4. Who is eligible to join?

An outstanding professional, inspirational role model, opinion leader, well connected, self-aware, remarkable listener who is able to motivate and inform. In addition to this, you should comply with the following requirements: a) considerable expertise in your area of expertise, service-oriented personality, excellent listener, well-educated, certified and fluent in English; b) access to a laptop or desktop computer with a high-quality microphone and camera with good internet connection; and c) smartphone with good internet connection to ensure a level of excellence when dealing with clients.

5. How can I join?

We invite you to take the online assessment. Our international committee of trustees will review it and if you get accepted we provide you with a signup link along with guidelines to get you started.

6. How do I promote my expert profile?

You can promote your expert profile by earning reputation points within our platform. You earn points every time you answer a question, post an article and upload a document to the platform. The more points you have, the more clients you will attract.

7. Who are the clients?

Our clients are demanding professionals (e.g. business owners, managers, executives, entrepreneurs) and individuals who are looking for the support of a expert that best meets their needs. We make their life easy to find you.

8. How can I earn reputation points?

You can earn reputation from paid voice and video sessions conducted, based on the client ratings. You also receive reputation from providing answers to questions as well as publishing articles and uploading documents on the platform. You get even more reputation points with upvotes from clients and you can lose reputation with downvotes from clients.

9. How can I earn money?

To earn money set up your rate per minute and your currency within your profile. After you have set this up, clients can contact you via our built in paid voice and video communication service. Clients will pay with credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and you will see in real-time how much you earn during the session. Your earnings (total revenues minus 10% commission) will automatically be transferred to your bank account via our secure payment service provider STRIPE, on a weekly basis. Please note that your rate per minute can vary from the price entered in the "offering" box of your profile.

10. Is it possible to sell documents?

We plan to add this in the future.

11. Is it possible to charge for answering questions from clients?

No, but you can earn reputation points by answering questions on the platform.

12. How do I manage my profile?

Login to your profile and click on “Edit profile”. Here you can change your profile photo, edit “Name”, “Job Title”, “Company”, “Offering” (500 characters), ”Categories”, ”Languages” and ”Description” (500 characters), “Currency”, “Rate per minute” and “Initial free minutes”.

13. How can clients contact me?

Clients can contact you via our platform and request an appointment or send you a message. Additionally, clients can can connect  with you using our built-in paid voice and video communication service.

14. Can I enter my contact details in my profile?

No, we do not allow to add your contact details in your description. Clients can contact you by sending a message or request an appointment via our platform.

15. How can I change my password?

If you are logged into your account, you can change your password by clicking on "My Settings" in the right hand menu, click on "Edit settings", enter your new password in the "Password" field and click "Save changes".

If you forgot your password and are unable to log into your account, click "Login" in the top right corner of the page, click on "Reset your password", enter your email adress and click "Submit". A password reset link will be mailed to you.


FAQ paid communication service for Experts

1. What is the paid communication service?

Our  built in online paid voice and video communication service enables clients to connect with you and pay with a credit card. The advantage is that you do not have to invoice the clients as you get the money transferred right after the session.

2. How can clients connect with me?

Clients can connect  with you using our built-in paid voice and video communication service that enables them to pay with a credit card. For this to happen, you need to be logged into your expert profile on your desktop or in our HEADSTORE app for for iOS and Android. When you are logged in and online, you can pick up sessions by either clicking on the microphone symbol for a voice only connection, or you can click on the video symbol to start the session with video.

3. Why should I use the paid communication service?

You can receive paid voice and video sessions on your mobile phone or desktop and get paid right after the session without any invoicing efforts.

4. Which countries are supported for payout?

Payout is possible in following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, Singapore and Switzerland.

5. Which currencies are supported?

At the moment we support USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, CHF. If you would like further currencies to be supported please contact us via our contact form.

6. How can I transfer my earnings into my bank account?

For payout we work together with the payment service provider STRIPE, the new standard in online payment. If you have an existing STRIPE account, you can use it to receive the payout. Else, you can create a STRIPE account. Log-in into your profile and you will find in the top right the “Activate payout” box. Once you activated the payout you can see your profile statistics.

7. How is the payment handled?

STRIPE is our secure payment service partner. Stripe verifies on the one side the coverage of the client’s credit card and on the other side, sends the earnings on a weekly basis to your bank account.

8. How can I invite clients to a free session?

Login to your profile and click in the section “Invite clients to sessions” and select  “Free session”.  Click on “Get Link for paid session” and send this link to your client. Please note that this link for paid sessions does not change and does not expire.

10. What if I’m not available?

Being available and responsive to your clients is very important. Sometimes, you may  get pretty busy with sessions and you might be unreachable until you are finishing the session. If you are in a session you appear as busy to others. You can always go offline in your profile to change your status to unavailable. If that is the case, clients can only send you messages and appointment requests. We expect you to answer messages and appointment requests as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours.

12. Why does the mobile app ask me for a password to log in?

Use the password you have been using to create your expert profile. If you logged in via Facebook, LinkedIn or Google then you need to set a password before you can use the mobile app. In your profile, go to your “Settings”, then click on "Edit Settings" and enter a new password. After you saved it, you can use this password to log into the mobile app on your phone.

13. How can I edit my app profile?

You cannot edit your app profile in the app itself you have to  logging into your expert profile on a desktop.

1. What is this network for?

We connect people searching for expertise and advice with experienced experts from around the world - online on your desktop, mobile phone or tablet.

2. How does AskAnExpert.pro work?

A. Ask Questions for free & Find qualified Answers

Starting is really simple, just type in your question in the search box and existing similar questions answered by our experts will be displayed. If the answer is helpful you can rate and have the option to contact the expert. If the answers are not sufficient, you can submit a new question and let it be answered by our experienced experts.

B. Find & Contact Experts

Check the profiles from the experts who have answered questions, provided articles and uploaded documents or search in our network for experts that best meet your needs. To contact a expert, request an appointment or send a message, you will have to signup and submit your email address so they can respond.

C. Connect with Experts, Pay & Rate

The expert will answer you with a link where you can connect with him or her through our built-in paid voice and video communication service which makes it easy to start a conversation and pay the expert for the session. After the session you will be charged a rate per-minute established by the expert. After the session, you can rate the expert and leave a review.

3. What is the role of a expert in this network?

Our experts have deep expertise in their field and they are often supplemented with cross functional and multidisciplinary expertise. They are client oriented, well connected, excellent listeners, well educated and certified.

4. What if I can’t find the right expert?

Please contact us via our contact form, describe what you are looking for and we will help  you find a expert.

5. What languages are supported?

While our site is only in English at the moment, you can check the advisers profile page, some of them communicate in other languages too. More languages are planned in the future.

6. What are the technical requirements?

You need a notebook or desktop with high quality microphone and camera as well as a good internet connection (at least 500 kbps upload and download) or a smartphone with at least 3G connection. For Paid voice and video sessions  you need a Chrome or Firefox browser. Further browsers will be added soon.

7. Can I also become a expert?

Yes, if the eligibility criteria is fulfilled. We believe that everybody can be a expert in one or more specific fields. Check out the signup details here.

8. If I login with Facebook, Linkedin or Google, do you post updates on my profile?

No, we’ll never post on your behalf. You can sign-up and login with your social profiles for your convenience. The advantage on doing so is that no mail verification is necessary and that makes the sign-up process easier for you.

9. What does it cost to contact a expert?

Our experts set their own rate per-minute. It can vary from about USD 1.00 up to USD 15.00 per minute.

10. How can I pay?

For the US, you can pay with the following cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover and Diners Club.  For Australia, Canada, Europe and Japan, you can pay with the following cards: Visa,

MasterCard and American Express.

11. Can I use PayPal?

No, we use STRIPE as our secure payment service partner. Stripe does not support PayPal. You can read more about STRIPE here

12. Can I use just voice and hide the video?

Yes, you can decide whether you want to start the session with voice only or video. You can also switch during the session.

13. Can I conduct paid communication sessions with desktop and  mobile devices?

We support voice and video sessions on desktop. Please use a Chrome or Firefox browser. Further desktop browsers will be added soon. Additionally we support Android devices to conduct paid communication sessions with experts. iOS will be added soon.

14. Is there a time limit for a session?

Yes, the time limit for a session is 90 minutes. We inform both client and expert before the time is up. If you want to continue you can always initiate another session.

15. Do I get a receipt?

Yes, we send to both client and expert an email after each sessions with a receipt including the total amount for the session.

16. How can I change my password?

If you are logged into your account, you can change your password by clicking on "My Settings" in the right hand menu, click on "Edit settings", enter your new password in the "Password" field and click "Save changes".

If you forgot your password and are unable to log into your account, click on "Login" in the top right corner of the page, click on "Reset your password", enter your email adress and click "Submit". A password reset link will be mailed to you.

1. What is an ambassador?

An ambassador is an influencer and opinion leader representing our platform within colleagues and clients. Ambassadors are also able to participate in our platform revenues. Our ambassadors are experts with an extensive expertise in their field, well connected, well educated and most importantly with the willingness and ability to contribute with content and referrals to our platform.

You can participate in the revenues of the paid voice and video sessions of the referred and accepted experts.

Security

1. How secure are the paid communication sessions ?

The most sensitive information are audio and video data of the sessions. This data is encrypted end-to-end using SRTP with a secure exchange of keys. No other party, not even we, can decrypt audio and video of sessions. Decryption happens directly on the clients and on the experts device.

2. How does HEADSTORE protect private data?

HEADSTORE services are built to ensure that private data stays private. All connections are encrypted and are going over TLS-secured channels. The backend is secured via multiple security domains using the Spring security framework. Privacy Policy.
